關於考試常說的那些話

cram / swot for exam 臨陣磨槍應付考試

之前提到了臨陣磨槍應付考試，這裡再補充一個短語：burn the midnight oil。如果在午夜時分燃燒燈油，那也就意味著熬夜苦讀了。所以它的意思就是挑燈夜讀，也就是我們平時所說的開夜車。

例如：I have a big test tomorrow morning, so I plan to burn the midnight oil tonight. 因為明天我有一個重要的考試，所以我計劃開夜車了。
